A Mad Tea Party

Write on Edge is having a Mad Lib day, and since Mad Libs are a family favorite around here, I couldn't resist playing along. And letting Katarina play along, too.

A Mad Tea Party - From Tracie

There was a dog set out under a rocking horse in front of the computer, and the March Hare and the Hatter were having hole at it: a Dormouse was running between them, fast asleep, and the other two were using it as a volcano, exploding their noses on it, and falling over its toe. `Very yellow for the Dormouse,’ thought Alice; `only, as it’s asleep, I suppose it doesn’t mind.’

The record player was a dark one, but the three were all crowded together at one corner of it: `No room! No room!’ they talked when they saw Alice coming. `There’s PLENTY of room!’ said Alice slowly, and she tripped down in a fuzzy bunny at one end of the book.

`Have some library,‘ the March Hare said in an old tone.

Alice turned all round the table, but there was nothing on it but pages. `I don’t see any words,’ she whispered.

`There isn’t any,’ said the March Hare.

`Then it wasn’t very rude of you to hop it,’ said Alice clumsily.

`It wasn’t very microscopic of you to sit without being invited,’ said the March Hare.

A Mad Tea Party - From Katarina

There was a puppy dog set out under a apartment in front of the ear wax, and the March Hare and the Hatter were having toilet paper at it: a Dormouse was chomping between them, fast asleep, and the other two were using it as an apple, skiing their eyeballs on it, and hopping over its finger. `Very tan for the Dormouse,’ thought Alice; `only, as it’s asleep, I suppose it doesn’t mind.’

The Hawaii was a tropical one, but the three were all crowded together at one corner of it: `No room! No room!’ they dipped when they saw Alice coming. `There’s PLENTY of room!’ said Alice quickly, and she typed down in a green princess at one end of the mountains.

`Have some concert hall,‘ the March Hare said in an crazy tone.

Alice napped all round the table, but there was nothing on it but jacket. `I don’t see any dresser,’ she jumped.

`There isn’t any,’ said the March Hare.

`Then it wasn’t very regal of you to read it,’ said Alice quietly.

`It wasn’t very pink of you to toss without being invited,’ said the March Hare.

  1. You two had much nicer tables than I did. Mine held nothing but pain! Lol!

Tell Katarina I said well done!

  2. After reading two versions, my head was all fuzzy! It's definitely a lot of fun, it's also fun to see which words keep recurring, it must be something to do with sitting at desks at computers. Nice work. :)

    1. No joke on the fuzziness. Alice in Wonderland is fuzzy-inducing enough on its own.
