Having the top score is a serious thing in our house. Just ask Katarina about the time she beat me at Spades. Actually, you don't have to do that. She would be all too happy to tell you about the
Quick and easy online games are great, because they are a good break from work or homeschool, and a good way to wind down after a long day. I especially enjoy puzzle games, because there isn't any objectionable content or violence that you find in a lot of video games. This means Katarina can play them, too.
My secret writing tip:
When I have writer's block, or I'm struggling with the wording on a blog post, I open up a puzzle game in another tab and give myself ten minutes to play. Concentrating on a quickly moving, timed game helps to clear my mind. When the ten minutes are up, I return to writing and usually find that the ideas and words are ready to flow again.
One game I enjoy is Poppit. It is super easy. You pop balloons of the same color that are in groups of two or more. Some of the balloons have bonuses or power-ups inside that help to increase your score, so you want to make sure you pop all of those. It is kind of like a carnival balloon game without the crowds of people or midway guys yelling at you. The only thing missing is the funnel cakes.
You can play Poppit, and other great puzzle games for free on Pogo.
Try Poppit right now:
Race against the clock and pop as many balloons as you can. To play the Poppit!™ Sprint puzzle game, all you have to do is pop groups of two or more balloons of the same color in one minute. Fast pops of three or more balloons of the same color increase your multiplier and score.

I was compensated for this post. All opinions are my own. I was not required to say nice things, or to spend 30 minutes trying to beat my high score on Poppit yesterday.
