The Great Unfinished Tasks

I have been reading about Thanksgiving this week, and looking for quotes and thoughts to share. My favorite things have come from John F. Kennedy's Thanksgiving proclamation in 1963:
"On that day let us gather in sanctuaries dedicated to worship and in homes blessed by family affection to express our gratitude for the glorious gifts of God; and let us earnestly and humbly pray that He will continue to guide and sustain us in the great unfinished tasks of achieving peace, justice, and understanding among all men and nations and of ending misery and suffering wherever they exist."
Those are the great unfinished tasks. I hope that today we can all stop for a few minutes and offer prayers and thoughts for what can be done to finish them.

I also hope that we can all have a lot of pie. Everything is better with pie.

Happy Thanksgiving.

*NaBloPoMo is eating turkey today.

  3. Happy Thanksgiving - enjoy it and rest a while - there seems to be so much still to do to get finishing those goals :)

    1. Thanks! I did get in some resting time - and I slept in every morning of the long weekend. It was wonderful!
