Socks and Flip Flops!!

Socks and Flip Flops are just not okay....let me repeat--not okay!! Socks are fine and flip flops are beautiful (and always my personal footwear of choice!)-but put them together and it is just wrong.

I had this conversation with my husband just the other day and it was not for the first time, either. If he keeps trying to sneak out the door this way I am going to have to nominate him for a
"Sandle and Soxer Award". Okay...I know-these people have way too much time on their hands!

  4. To answer your question Tracie---I would email you, but I don't have your email address...
My one sister Gene saw the play and I think she was surprised at how hoest I was about myself...I don't know that I would say she was supportive...she came and that in itself was supportive. But I think she was watching to see how I portrayed her...She was not unhappy about that. And she admired that I showed my own warts...something I don't think she would do about herself.
My other sister and my brother could not get out here to see the play, unfortunately. My father saw it though...I think it was somewhat upsetting to him.

It does seem to be a "man" thing.
Perhaps it's because they don't go the pedicure route and have gnarly toes.
I have gnarley toes but wouldn't think of doing socks with sandles, or flip flops. How could you do the socks with flip flops? Oh, right, toe socks.

  26. Arrrgghh! I can not stand socks period, so therefore looking at those pictures was sheer torture. But I did it, so someday when I'm old and senile, that memory will stuck in my brain and maybe I won't do it. Why oh why do people do it? ;)

  28. my husband usually do the sandals and socks thing. i hated it and kept on pestering him about it. finally, he listened.

now, we're still on the issue of black socks vs. white socks. he's such a fan of white socks even the occasion calls for black, like formal events and for office get-ups.

  29. That's funny. I have a new post with a photo of flip-flops! I remember when we used to call them thongs, but we wouldn't dare do so now. LOL! But I agree. Flip flops are great, but not with socks.

  30. Hi there! Michele sent me!

I saw a little girl wearing socks and colorful Birkenstocks... they looked cute on her! On grown-ups though, well, it takes a certain look or character to carry it off!
