The "meme"anings of words

I got this from Blond Girl, who got it from Geekwif, who got it from someone else, who got it from someone else, etc. This is a word meaning meme where I write what Blond Girl's words mean to me, and then come up with a new set of words that you can define (fun, right?) So, here we go!

Sunrise-"Sunrise....I'm gonna praise His Name. Sunset.....I'm gonna praise His Name"-it's a song, the first thing that came into my mind when I read this word, and now it is stuck in my head. Thanks Blond Girl!

Harmony-When everything is lined up just perfect with a nice sense of peace.

Affliction-Nothing exciting immediately came to mind, so I thought I would google search the word to get a little inspiration......and I saw that you can buy affliction on Ebay. Actually what comes up is mostly lots of clothes. Which makes sense, because I do have a clothes buying affliction.

Avocado-Yum!! Avocados are always great! And since we are here talking about them let me tell you a story. My husband and I have this little debate going on that started back before we were married. California or Florida. I say that California avocados are better, but he is determined that the ones from Florida are. What do you think?

Now it's your turn.....if you want. Leave me a comment if you play so that I can come see yours. Here are your words:

Bear
Purple
Light
Tomato

  1. Bear... my first thought was, i wonder if my dad got his bear tag for hunting season this year. not so much a definition, but its all ive got.

Purple... the color of the Oregon sky in the last moments as the sun drops below the oceans horizon.

Light... the thing i hope i see when i die. as long as it isnt a red glow, im home free.

Tomato... now im chanting you say tomato i say tomato (sad) definition? Italian grandmothers secret weapon.

  3. Thanks for playing! It is fun, isn't it?

Here's my list for you (since I've already played, I'll do it here rather than at my place):

Bear: Well, being NASD Series 7 registered, the first thing I think of is a bear market, which is not a good thing, really.

Purple: My Sweet Girl's bedroom: White walls and purple and lavender accesories. It is so cute!

Light: "All good things come from the Father of light". I think of when the clouds break and light shines down and it feels like Heaven reaching out to remind me that He is near.

Tomato: Well, first I thought "Yum!!!!!!!!!" but then, right on the heels of that came "Hi kids! I'm Bob the Tomato! And I'm Larry the Cucumber! And have we got a show for you!"

  4. A clothes-buying affliction. That's a good one! :) Thanks for picking this one up from BG. I thought it was so much fun!

Now, as for your words, since I've already done this on my blog, I'll just post my answers right here...

Bear - Big, cute, and furry. I wish they were as cuddly as they look. I really hope not to run into one after we move to the country!

Purple - The color of my living room walls

Light - Artificial light is necessary and a good thing, but give me tons of all natural sunlight any day and make me a happy girl!

Tomato - Raw tomatoes don't do much for me, except maybe in salsa. I do love a good tomato based sauce though...or chili. Yummy!

  5. Cute meme!

Bear: an animal I love to love from afar
Purple: the color of my kitchen walls (don't worry, we're currently repainting!)
Light: what we don't have enough of in our kitchen (we hope to put in a skylight)
    Tomato: my favorite fruit
