These Pants Make No Sense

I don't understand these pants.

I don't understand them so much, I had to take a picture of the picture so you could see them too.

These are the problems that immediately come to mind:
-pants should not be so long that you can trip over them
-white floor length pants? a dry cleaning disaster waiting to happen
-I always thought Viola Davis had feet, now I'm not so sure

I've seen these super long pants more and more recently, in pictures, and movies, and tv shows. Each time I see someone wearing them, it distract me (and I want to pull out a needle and thread and start hemming).

Am I alone in this? Do you wear pants this long?

This was my Sunday morning five minute stream of consciousness writing. I've dumped my brain, feel free to dump yours with Fadra.

  1. Haha. I do not wear pants that long. Maybe she's ashamed of her feet. Me? I'm always trying to show off my shoes! ;)

  3. I can't wear white because I'm super messy. And, yes, they are impractically long for regular people. Mundane rules about pants length don't apply to famous people.

  4. I agree that these pants are ridiculous. I think designers have run out of ideas and just make stuff up. I'm sticking to my blue jeans.

  6. I wear my pants about a quarter to half inch shorter than this. I understand these pants, oddly enough. However, in white, I fear the dry cleaning bill.

  7. HA! Hilarious. But you would totally want to hem all of my pants, because being plus-sized and a shortie has me cuffing the bottoms up CONSTANTLY! Bt omg, a white outfit like that? Would never happen with my child around. Geez!

  8. The way I figure it, the people wearing them figure they are cheaper than hiring someone to sweep the floor. Only logical reasoning, right?

  9. These pants are made for dusting. And that's just what they'll do! Cuz one of these days these pants are gonna dust all over you!
(Are you ready pants? Start dusting!)

  12. I have owned long jeans that require high heels in order to walk in them. Needless to say, I don't wear them very often. This outfit is clearly for photo purposes only! All that white. I can't hide the spills on my calico clothes. I would be a disaster!

  13. I have some white pants that drag the ground and I kind of hate them for the reason you just mentioned!

  14. I think these would cover up the very cute shoes the lady might be wearing. Plus white pants that are floor length, no thank you.

  16. I see people wearing pants that long & here in MN it's not a pretty site, usually there are holes worn along the bottom due to dragging on the floor, not to mention the winters here are brutal so you see lovely salt stains on them too. White pants in general are a no in my world - I stay far, far away.

  17. Haha--I have some pants that do that...but not to be fashionable--it's just because I'm short and until recently refused to admit that. ;) I agree that they look super silly though!!!

  19. I never understood jeggings. Until I wore them (as I am right now). I guess when you're rich and famous you can have your pants dry cleaned every day.
