My Oreo Cookies Are Yellow

Today is Oreo's 100th birthday. Oreo and I are such close, personal friends. We go way back (not quite 100 years back - I'm not that old). Everyone lift up a glass of milk (except I have a glass of water, because I don't drink milk), and join with me in saying, "Happy Birthday Oreo!!"

After all the Oreo updates and celebrations I saw online all day (yes, I'm looking at you and your double stuffed Oreo love Beth), I was seriously wanting some Oreo cookies.

Thomas must have been reading my mind while he was at work, because he came home with this:
Spring Oreo

Not just Oreos, but Yellow Oreos!
Yellow Oreo

This is cookie perfection, and it is making me very happy!

What is making you happy today?

*Oreo in no way sponsored this post full of cookie love. Which is good, because it is kind of hard to collect payment from a cookie after you have eaten it.

  2. I found a "family pack" of oreos at the store the other day. This means, I may actually get to have some.

  4. Oh. My. Goodness!!! I just found your blog and I love it. All of it. From Oreos to Books to Surviving. I think we are kindred spirits. I also homeschool, love books with a passion few can understand, believe we should celebrate Oreos, and am working to help my family recover from abuse. (Dang that last one is hard. But we're doing it.) =) I've been searching for other blogs similar to mine, and am so happy I found yours! Thank you for writing. Feel free to visit my blog (http://1001ThingsToBeHappyAbout.blogspot.com) and look around. It's new- but growing. I hope it will become a place for people surviving and growing to hang out and support each other. And be happy. =)

ps. I may steal your idea of posting about Oreos. I had no idea it was their 100th birthday. How cool is that?

It is nice to meet you. And I saw that you submitted to the Blog Carnival Against Child Abuse - thank you for that! I love your focus on happiness.

    3. It was started years ago (2008 or 2007) by Marj aka Thriver at the blog Survivors Can Thrive. When she decided to retire from blogging in 2010, she turned over its management to me.

  6. I love love love Oreos. Almond milk doesn't do the dip very well, but coconut milk works fair. Just sayin'.

    1. I've never tried coconut milk. My husband and daughter like Almond milk. I really don't drink milk at all (except for on cereal).

  7. Can you believe that I never got my DS Oreos! My days have developed a nasty habit of going to hell in a handbasket! It's interfering with all sorts of good stuff! And I may not forgive it for stealing my Oreo joy!
