No Longer Home

I sit, unmoving.

My hand cools under the surface of sugar-white sand.

The familiar scene and crashing waves do not calm; they bring sadness.

My heart is lost.

This is no longer home.

  4. wait what?? Surely you are not growing unhappy in Florida? But I can totally relate.. Sometimes things change more than we are ready for them to. Or perhaps we age and learn more about who we are and what we need in our becoming..

    Good job--that sense of forlorn-ness really comes through.
